ARTIST PROFILE

My main interest is color street photography. Since graduating from the San Francisco Art Institute, I received an NEA Grant and Guggenheim Fellowship for this and other work. A few of my photographs are in museum collections and some have been included in exhibitions.

I have done assignments for magazines, a few annual reports, shot portraits for TV commercials and worked on documentary projects for foundations.

I have been photographing everyday American life. These color photographs are in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Biblioteque Nationale, The Oakland Museum, Princeton University, National Museum of American Art, and Smithsonian Institution.
